Well this is where I do all my work on my bags that I make. I use to have most of this in my guestroom and I have now moved just about everything in to my garage. Hubby built me the table that you see so I can have a good place to cut everything out. I love the space that I have now. When we have guest now I don't have to worry about getting everything out of the guestroom. That was a lot to move. I went to a garage sale the other day and could not believe what I found. I found a 1958 Bernina and it still have the book with it and the best part about it is it still worked. I was so excited about that. Talk about a heavy machine. I was looking for something like that. It cost me more to have it serviced than to purchase it.

The gentleman that was selling it told me his wife made many a dress on that machine. He kept it for 17 years after her death. I told him I would definitely use it and take care of it. It is hard for me to believe that I am actually sewing. I took one course in high school and just hated it. After all these years I decided to try my hand at making dolls. That was my first venture with sewing. Now I am making handmade military uniform purses and you can't hardly get me away from the machine now. My mother is proud. She told me she never thought any of her kids would take up sewing. Guess I proved her wrong huh. That is one lady that is definitely an inspiration to me when it comes to my creative side. Thank you mother. Well I guess it is time to get sewing. I have several orders that I need to get out.
